Discussion sessions with the Kuwaiti pavilion at the conference COP28

Discussions were held today at the State of Kuwait’s pavilion at the #COP28 Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, where prominent specialists in the field of environment and health participated. Including

1. Mr. Abdullah Jaragh from (Environmental Public Authority)

   - A lecture entitled: “The National Plan for Adaptation to the Effects of Climate Change in the State of Kuwait”

2. D. Mona Al-Khabaz and Dr. Ali Zenkawi (Ministry of Health)

   - A lecture entitled: “The efforts of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health to adapt to the effects of climate change on health.”

3. D. Abdullah Al-Anaz (Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research)

   - A lecture entitled: “Monitoring environmental changes through satellite images.”

4. Yousef Al-Asiri (Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research)

   - A lecture entitled: “The impact of rising sea surface temperatures on currents and the transport of nutrients in shallow areas.”

5. Khaled Al-Khaled (Kuwait Fund for Economic Development)

   - Dialogue session: “Cooperation between the United Nations Settlements Program and the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development in the project of adaptation and resilience to dust storms on the border.”

Dialogue sessions were organized to highlight the efforts of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health to adapt to the effects of climate change on health, in addition to discussion sessions organized by the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development, covering cooperation with the United Nations Settlements Program and partnership with the World Health Organization to support global health and adaptation to the challenges associated with climate change. .
